OC Alternatives to Viagra

I have been a part of a non sexual marriage for over ten years. I am married but we remain that way because neither of us what to live in poverty. I still have an active solo sex life and enjoy porn and masturbation. My problem now is that I am having a really bad case of erectile dysfunction. Getting a prescription from the doctor is out of the question. My wife watches me like a hawk. Are there any really good GNC types of natural supplements that are available?

You need to know why you experiencing erectile dysfunction before trying to find a solution. It is quite common for the qualities of erections to change as you get older, but some of it has to do with preventable health issues.

If you are overweight or older (even in your 40s) ED is often a symptom of heart disease. Seeing your doctor to address this issue is very important for your overall health and well being. You can reverse the effects with a proper exercise regime and diet such as one by Dr. Dean Ornish which has been proven in clinical studies. Looking to the cause and not just dealing with one symptom with pills seems like a wise thing to do to me.

The other issue to look at is psychological. Again seeing your MD first to rule out the physical is key and then finding an appropriate sex therapist to help you deal with ED. You could also do some reading about the subject. My favourite general book about male sexulaity is The New Male Sexuality: The Truth About Men, Sex, and Pleasure by Bernie Zilbergeld.

I cannot recommend any over the counter or herbal supplements. I think what you get online is usually bogus and could actually be dangerous. You never know what you are going to get.

I received this email and soon after Health Canada put out a warning against a particular sexual enhancement supplement citing that it contains an undeclared pharmaceutical ingredient similar to the drug tadalafil - which should only be used under the supervision of a health professional as it poses serious health risks, especially for patients with heart problems, on heart medication or at risk of stroke. With that in mind I feel my advice was appropriate. When it comes to your sexual health and erectile dysfunction it is best to see your doctor or another appropriate accredited health professional.
